Yŏnpyŏng-do attack: The Big List #1

Glued to my computer screen, I realize I've written nearly a dozen posts related to the North Korean attack on the South Korean islands of Yŏnpyŏng-do [Yeonpyeong], undisputed ROK territory not far from North Korea's southwestern coast. Rather than making readers scroll through what must be several meters worth of text, I thought it would be good to list and link them in one place.
  • The Kushibo Plan™: The appropriate military response to what is clearly a problem that won't go away on its own
  • Victor Cha talks about the why's and what's about the Yŏnpyŏng-do attack (includes Newshour video)
  • South Korea is concerned about the economic fallout of the attack
The above posts contain links to many other articles and sites. The bloggers and commenters at Marmot's Hole and ROK Drop have both been great for providing information and insight. Finally, Coming Anarchy has a post I did not link to that mulls over an older idea of a preemptive strike on North Korea (not that that's what I'm endorsing).
